More
evidence are coming out which are pointing the role of our CM Oommen Chandy in Rs 250 crore
waste treatment plant scam - Travancore Titanium Products Limited (TTPL).
Last day,
one local media published 2 letters written by him to the Chairman of the
Supreme Court Monitoring Committee G Thyagarajan (April 2005 and January 2006)
which points his undue haste in this case.

Report:-
- This agreement was created in 2005.
- Meacon Company submitted a 256 Crs project on January, 2005 and the Gov had approved this in next month- February 19.
- Another company submitted other proposal with 108 Crs, but the Gov was neglected that.
- On May 19, 2005- Gov issued an order for implementing this project and imported all equipments very soon (Even the equipments that will be needed at the end of this project). 72 Cr spend for exporting the equipments which are still in useless and dumped in company’s compound.
- Meanwhile Gov have increased the project fund from 256 Cr to 414 Cr
- And also that Gov had given 9 Cr to a company as consultation free, without completing the project.
The enquiry was started with respect a
letter to PM from Mr. Sebastian George, Kannur.

ആരോപണവിധേയമായ മെക്കോണ്‍ കമ്പനിയുടെ പദ്ധതി അംഗീകരിക്കണമെന്നും ലോകായുക്തയില്‍ കേസ് വന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തില്‍ പദ്ധതിയുടെ കാലാവധി ദീര്‍ഘിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് സുപ്രീംകോടതി മോണിറ്ററിങ് കമ്മിറ്റി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ ത്യാഗരാജന് അന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയായിരുന്ന ഉമ്മന്‍ചാണ്ടി അയച്ച കത്തുകള്‍ നേരത്തെ പുറത്തുവന്നിരുന്നു. 108 കോടിയുടെ പദ്ധതി സ്ഥാപനത്തിന് സാമ്പത്തികനേട്ടം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നതാണെന്ന് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുണ്ടായിട്ടും ഇത് അട്ടിമറിച്ചാണ് മെക്കോണിന്റെ പദ്ധതിക്ക് അംഗീകാരം നല്‍കിയത്. 59 കോടിമാത്രം ആസ്തിയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഘട്ടത്തിലാണ് ടൈറ്റാനിയത്തില്‍ 256 കോടിയുടെ പദ്ധതിക്ക് രൂപം നല്‍കിയത്. ഇത് പിന്നീട് 414 കോടിയായി ഉയര്‍ത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. ടൈറ്റാനിയം അഴിമതി സംബന്ധിച്ച കേസ് തിരുവനന്തപുരം വിജിലന്‍സ് കോടതിയുടെ പരിഗണനയിലാണ്. പദ്ധതി വഴി കമ്പനിക്ക് 127 കോടി രൂപ നഷ്ടമായെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി സമര്‍പ്പിച്ച ഹര്‍ജിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് കേസ്. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി ഉമ്മന്‍ചാണ്ടി, മുന്‍ വ്യവസായമന്ത്രി വി കെ ഇബ്രാഹിംകുഞ്ഞ്, മുന്‍മന്ത്രി എ സുജനപാല്‍ , വ്യവസായ വകുപ്പ് സെക്രട്ടറി ടി ബാലകൃഷ്ണന്‍ , ടൈറ്റാനിയം മാനേജിങ് ഡയറക്ടര്‍ ആയിരുന്ന ഈപ്പന്‍ ജോസഫ്, പദ്ധതിയുടെ കരാര്‍ ലഭിച്ച മെക്കോണ്‍ ഇന്ത്യ ലിമിറ്റഡ് ജനറല്‍ മാനേജര്‍ ഡി കെ ബസു തുടങ്ങി 11 പേരാണ് പ്രതിസ്ഥാനത്ത്.
